Just check his latest project, ‘PTSD.’ Lil Uzi Vert, Chance the Rapper, 21 Savage and the late Juice WRLD all lend verses. The 24-year-old MC is a huge deal. In Chicago, and the wider drill scene, Lil Herb, as he was formerly known, blew up off 2012’s “Kill Shit,” a Lil Bibby-assisted testament to the torment of street life. Before he reached voting age, Herb promised to be a shiny new jewel in the Windy City’s rap crown. Eight years on, he’s leveled up several times. We knew we had to get him in the studio, and he treated us to two of ‘PTSD”s hidden gems: “Intro” (anyone recognize that sample?) and “Gangstas Cry.”
